In 2014 thoughtfully renovated, this light flooded residence is perfect for a vacation in fresh air, sea and sun.
Never have you been closer to a beach: Just across the terrace and down a few steps. The beach and sea offer a wide range of activities and a breathtaking ocean view. You can watch the spectacular battle between fishermen and swordfish directly from the house or beach. This is only one of many traditions that can be witnessed here.
Swimming season is usually from June to October. The crystal clear water invites you to swim, dive and go out on a boat. Proper water safety procedures should always be observed. Our location offers a broad range of water sports, just ask us about it.
Impressions
The house has three bedrooms with double beds, two baths, a large living/dining room, a kitchen on the first floor and two separate store rooms on the floor above. Dishes, bedding and towels are supplied. Air conditioning and a central heating system keep the rooms at a comfortable temperature during each season. Each window and door is also equipped with mosquito netting. A wireless network (=Wi-Fi) is installed and easily accessible.
In the garden you will find lemon, tangerine and clementine trees. On the property there is also a small shed with a washing machine and a small crafting room.
The split level terrace is facing the ocean and contains a shower room for an after beach shower.
Our convenient location in St. Agata gives you the opportunity to reach groceries stores, bakeries, restaurants and bars within a five-minute walking distance. The comparably low-priced food is traditional for Sicily and adored by visitors. The closest city is 50 m away by bus. A note of warning, in true Italian fashion, buses are not always on time.
Whatever your preference, be it nature, culture, cuisine, sport, or a mix of all; our residence provides a great basis to enjoy them all.
Directly from the house is a wide range of mountain and road bike tours available that go up the coast to the Peloritani mountains. These are also a great spot for beautiful hikes or walks. Feel free to ask us about it!
We suggest renting a car just in case you plan on visiting a tourist attraction like Taormina, the Etna, Palermo, Syracuse or Agrigento. We recommend some of the less known attractions such as the baroque Sicily, Aeolian Islands, and the Nebrodi mountains. The closest highway to Catania/Palermo is only 8km (5miles) from the residence.
